Meet Javier, François, Hugo and Stefan from Spain, Belgium, France and Germany. Not coincidentally the countries that are favorites for the victory at the upcoming championships. At least we think so. With these football fans, Vox is previewing the upcoming tournament.

Congratulations, your countries are, according to us, likely to win the championships.
Stefan: ‘I am missing someone from England.’
Hugo: ‘And maybe an Italian?’

How embarrassing is it that the Dutch did not qualify?
Javier: ‘If Northern-Ireland, Wales, and Slovakia are playing, but not the Netherlands, I cannot deny that it is pretty embarrassing.’

Hugo: ‘It is a pity, I would have liked to see Arjen Robben play.’

François: ‘I saw a video in which a Dutch reporter asked some French people on the street how The Netherlands will do at the upcoming Championships. They all answered: ‘well!’.’

Who will be the next European Championship’s star?
François: ‘Thomas Müller.’
Stefan: ‘I can only agree with that. It is funny to see him play. He does not look like a football player, with his thin arms and legs. But he is always where he needs to be.’
Hugo: ‘I will say Giroud. But I am joking. Who it actually will be? Paul Pogba. He has it in him to lead the French team in the upcoming years.’

Which team will be European Champion?
Stefan: ‘Germany.’
Hugo: ‘France.’
Javier: ‘Spain.’
François: ‘Eh… Belgium?’

You guys are pretty sure of yourselves.
Javier: ‘It all depends on whether the Spanish are able to find the net. Before, we had David Villa, but he is gone. Keeping the ball in our team and tossing it around, we are good at that, but scoring a goal?’
Stefan: ‘Spain is not that good anymore. Pretty bad, actually. All the good ones are worn out or not on the team anymore. Xavi, Iniesta…’
Javier: ‘Germany only depends on its physique. You guys do not play a beautiful game.’

And Belgium, what will they achieve?
François: ‘I am not sure. Everybody outside of Belgium thinks we will do well, but the Belgians themselves are starting to get nervous. We will probably make it to the semi-finals or something.’

Javier: ‘Against Italy, you will have a hard time immediately. That country stands strong during tournaments. Belgium might have a chance in four years, they are still too young now.’

François: ‘It is remarkable to see how well the Belgian star players, like Lukaku and Hazard, are doing on their own teams. Then they come to the national team and they are not delivering much. But Belgium is good at playing on result. If we become champion by winning every game with 1-0, I am happy.’

Do I have to remind you of Spain – The Netherlands two years ago, Javier?
Javier: ‘And do I have to remind you of the World Championship final in 2010?’
