Special Vox issue for refugees – out now
In the past weeks, Vox has been working on a special issue about and for the refugees that arrived in a temporary home at Heumersoord, close to Radboud University. Today at 14.00, the issue will be handed out there, and it can also be found in the stands all around campus.
The issue is completely in English and contains all kinds of stories around the arrival of the new neighbours. For example, an interview with newly arrived refugees – ‘I miss the washing machines’ -, and with scientists that debunk myths about the situation. Also, an article about where to go in Nijmegen and tips from former refugees that study and work at Radboud University.
Also in this issue: a background article about succesfull scientists that once were refugees, a story from writer Abdelkader Benali about running and surviving and a poem from Nijmegen-based poet Qader Shafiq. / Vox

Wat een prachtig initiatief. Kunnen jullie iets soortgelijks niet verspreiden onder alle vluchtelingen. Als ik daar een bijdrage aan kan leveren, doe ik dat graag!
